Who is at higher risk of corvid-19 ?


 High-risk population (very clinically vulnerable)

If you meet the following conditions, you may get coronavirus:


  • Had an organ transplant

  • Are undergoing chemotherapy or antibody therapy to treat cancer, including immunotherapy

  • Lung cancer radiotherapy (radiotherapy) is very stressful

  • Targeted cancer treatments that can affect the immune system (such as protein kinase inhibitors or PARP inhibitors)

  • Suffer from blood or bone marrow cancer (such as leukemia, lymphoma or myeloma)

  • Have had a bone marrow or stem cell transplant in the past 6 months, or are still taking immunosuppressive drugs

  • Be told by your doctor that you have a serious lung disease (such as cystic fibrosis, severe asthma, or severe COPD)

  • Illness means you are very likely to be infected (such as SCID or sickle cell)

  • Are taking drugs that make you more susceptible to infections (such as high-dose steroids or immunosuppressive drugs)

  • Severe heart disease and pregnancy

  • Problems with the spleen or the spleen has been removed (splenectomy)

  • Is an adult with Down syndrome

  • An adult with dialysis or severe (stage 5) long-term kidney disease

  • Based on clinical judgment and assessment of your needs, it is classified as a clinically vulnerable population

  • Over 70 years old

  • Have a non-serious lung disease (such as asthma, COPD, emphysema or bronchitis)

  • Suffer from heart disease (such as heart failure)

  • Have diabetes

  • Suffer from chronic kidney disease

  • Have liver disease (such as hepatitis)

  • Have a disease that affects the brain or nerves (such as Parkinson's disease, motor neuron disease, multiple sclerosis or cerebral palsy)

  • High probability of illness

  • Are taking drugs that affect the immune system (such as low-dose steroids)

  • Very obese (BMI of 40 or higher)
